An opportunity to practice meditation in the inspiring atmosphere of our centre in Rigpa Dublin

About this event

These Saturday mornings provide an opportunity to come together to practice in the inspiring environment of our meditation centre. It is suitable for everyone – beginners
and more experienced meditators alike.
Meditation is a way to cultivate greater mindfulness and awareness and to familiarise ourselves with a more relaxed, spacious, and present way of being.
The Simply Sitting Saturdays will include guidance on sitting and walking meditation that anyone is welcome to join in. We also include meditations on loving kindness and compassion.

3rd Saturday of the month 10.30 -13.00, except for December.

Cost

By donation (suggestion EUR 25 or EUR 15 concession).

Klara Finkele

Tony Mealy portraitKlara has been studying Tibetan Buddhism since 2001. She has done several long term practice retreats as well as studied under Khenchen Namdrol in the Rigpa Shedra (Buddhist philosophy program in Nepal). In 2022 Khenchen Namdrol and Khandro Rinpoche entrusted Klara to be a teacher and practice holder within the Nyingma tradition. She enjoys teaching new students meditation and is enthusiastic about all aspects of practice from the simple meditation practice to the more elaborate traditional practices. Klara also is a volunteer with the St Francis Hospice in Dublin providing bereavement support.

Tony Mealy

Tony Mealy portraitTony has been following the Buddhist path for nearly 10 years during which he has attended and supported courses in Dublin and online. He has also attended retreats in Dzogchen Beara. He has been a member of the Rigpa Dublin management group and is currently a member of the Rigpa Ireland Board. He has also participated in a number of Rigpa International strategy workshops.

Sean Gilmore

Sean Gilmore portrait Sean has been a member of the Dublin Sangha for more than 12 years during which time he has attended and supported courses in Dublin and has participated in the AEP study program.
