What Meditation Really Is
Exploring the Buddha’s teachings on meditation, compassion & wisdom in our daily lives.
What is meditation? The ultimate goal of meditation is to discover the inner wisdom that is always present in ourselves but has somehow become hidden almost like the sun that has been obscured by the clouds.
The first practice of meditation is learning to allow our distracted and busy minds to settle in a state of natural peace. In this course we will explore methods of working with our mind and heart with the goal of establishing a daily meditation practice that we can continue at home. Meditation is really the greatest gift we can give ourselves and a direct way to discover our basic goodness and well being.
Throughout the course we will also look at important topics that directly impact how we are in our everyday lives. Topics such as What is happiness and the different attitudes that shape our perception of ourselves and others and of the world. Each evening there will be guided instruction, discussion and an opportunity to practice together.
Open to everyone. For more details on how to join contact Anthony on 086 061 7701.
