Kum Nye calms the mind and restores the body’s natural rhythms. Meditation gives us the tools to work with our thoughts and emotions. Sessions will begin with Kum Nye, followed by meditation instruction, with the opportunity for questions in small groups with Matt and Susan.

Suitable for beginners, and people of all ages and fitness levels, this one-day workshop will be a unique combination of breathing and movement exercises, blended with stillness, providing both a gateway to meditation and a path to deepen our practice.

9.30 -10.45 Session 1

11.15-12.30 Session 2

14.00-14.45 Q&A with both Matt & Susan

15.15-16.15 Session 3

Matt Padwick has been practising meditation and Kum Nye as a member of the Dzogchen Beara community since 1998. He completed two years of closed retreat and worked in a variety of roles including Centre Director 2003-2013.

Matt offers Kum Nye programmes at Dzogchen Beara and elsewhere in Ireland – but more recently it’s all been online!

“I was a bit hesitant about doing an online retreat but I can’t praise it enough. I am grateful to have had the experience. The retreat was well structured, the speakers were great and the opportunity to speak with participants within chatroom was so beneficial.”

“Once again thank you. It so good to focus on something that brings a peacefulness to both your mind and body especially at this moment in time. Stay safe. ”

“I literally stepped back into my body today! Truly wonderful!”

“The retreat was excellently formatted and the technical aspects were seamless. I experienced unexpected and deep rewards, for which I am grateful.”

Just to say ‘thank you’, for putting Kum Nye on line! I feel more relaxed in myself, freer and more peaceful inside, more grounded!….your classes have enriched my life.”

“This is a first for me in exploring an online retreat and it was excellent. I’m very grateful for the opportunity. It was invaluable for me. Thank you so much to the whole team and fellow participants.”
