For it is only through meditation that you can undertake the journey to discover your true nature, and so find the stability and confidence you will need to live, and die, well.” Sogyal Rinpoche Tuesday evenings 19h45-21h45 This introductory course begins on Tuesday January 17th We all want to be happy. But often the relentless pace and challenges of life make it impossible to know where to look for happiness. Through the wisdom of meditation, however, we can find peace and contentment. This course on Turning Suffering and Happiness into Enlightenment features teachings to help bring perspective and understanding to any difficult situation we might encounter. All are welcome to attend. The night includes meditation instruction, video teachings and time for discussion. It is particularly suitable for those who would be relative newcomers to Buddhism and meditation. Fee: €10 per night/€6 concession Wednesday evenings 19h30 - 21h30 Recommences on Wednesday 18th January. Fee: €10 per night/€6 concession Wednesday 13h10 -13h50 The lunch-time meditation sessions will resume on Wednesday 11th January. This is an opportunity to take a break from the busyness of the day and spend some time in silent mediation. A short evocative video teaching may also be played to create the atmosphere for meditation practice. Fee: €3 The dates for 2012 are listed below.
