Programme Autumn 2010

“The gift of learning to meditate is the greatest gift you can give yourself in this life. For it is only through meditation that you can undertake the journey to discover your true nature, and so find the stability and confidence you will need to live, and die, well.” | Sogyal Rinpoche

Lunchtime Drop-In Meditation

Wednesday 13h10 - 13h50 (begins September 29th)

An opportunity to take a break from the busyness of everyday life and take some time to practice meditation.

Suitable for anyone who has attended an introductory meditation course

The Profound Method of Bringing Forth the Nature of Mind

Wednesday 19h30 - 21h30 (begins September 22nd)

Meditation offers us relaxation and freedom from stress, but it is much more than this. In the stillness and quietness of meditation the effortless peace of our innermost nature is revealed. As we start to develop the qualities of mindfulness, awareness, and spaciousness, we begin to feel the benefit in our lives.

This course is suitable for anyone already practicing meditation. It will be particularly useful for those who have been introduced to Sogyal Rinpoche’s approach to meditation at Dzogchen Beara or  who have previously attended Rigpa Courses.

What Meditation Really Is

Thursday 19h45 - 21h15 (begins September 23rd)

We all want to be happy. But often the relentless pace and challenges of life make it impossible to know where to look for happiness. Through the wisdom of meditation, however, we can find peace and contentment. We discover a profound stillness that is always with us, beneath the turbulence of all our thoughts and emotions.

This Introductory Course is suitable for anyone who wishes to learn to meditate or deepen their knowledge of meditation.
